P1693 Trouble code

After running out of fuel twice due to a faulty gauge and loose nut behind the wheel I have trouble code p1693. What exactly does this refer to . I recently Installed the EZ. But I think the code was there before installing.

"a fault has been generated in the companion engine control module", or a "companion DTC" was set in both the ECM and PCM.

Pull the PCM connectors and reconnect, it should clear.

Do you have to disconnect the batteries and then the pcm connectors or just unplug at the PCM? Sam

Usually unplugging the PCM connectors will clear this code. Sometimes I've had to leave it unplugged longer.

This is the smoothest and most useable power combination I have tried to this point. I would like to try an hx40-12 or 14 housing. Thanks for the "GREAT SERVICE" . Sam
