On my '03 I have been having problems, haven't been able to use it for a few months, originally had p0205 and p2149 together, got it home in limp mode, replaced injector solenoid on #5 injector, was fine for a
couple months. Got p0204,p0205,p0206 along with p2149, checked wiring harness, seemed like I wasn't getting a good connection on the ECM post 56 for the common injector feed wire to #4,#5,#6, replaced contact in connector, still no change, with more testing it seemed like I had a bad injector # 5 again, since I didn't know what injectors were in truck and it has 144k miles I bought a brand new set of injectors.
Now I still have p2149, but it got rid of the p0204,05,06 codes. Have checked the harness for grounds, shorts and opens, can't find anything wrong with harness. Here's where my questions start,
I have the valve cover off, with the engine off but the key on I could hear injectors clicking, it was #1 and # 6 the one time I pulled wires off injectors to see which injectors it is. Are the injectors supposed to be firing with out the engines running, seems wrong to me but I don't know any better.
Next issue, while the engine is running at an idle if I put my voltmeter on DC voltage on any of the front three injectors I read 21-22volts to ground, on the rear three injectors I only get about 8 volts while it's running rough, every few minutes it will run smoother for about 15-20 seconds and the voltage on the rear cylinders will be about 15 volts at that time. It's like it's still stuck in limp mode from the bad injectors but doesn't want to come out of it.
Does this sound like it could be the injector driver in the ECM, I have searched and read every thread I can find on the p2149, cleaned my grounds, I believe that there is more than one location that feeds voltage to the ECM, does anyone know if the 2 different injector drivers are fed from different inputs to the ECM. I'd just replace my ECM if I knew for sure that is the problem but most people say that it is very rare for a p2149 code to come up if the ECM is bad.

So right now the engine is still in limp mode with the p2149 code, not sure where to go next, is the Dealer the only one that can reprogram an ECU to my VIN number?

If anybody has any ideas I really could use some help, getting very tired of this and I need my truck back, luckily I still have my old faithful mechanical pumped '93.

Thanks for any help,

There are "Injector High Side Driver - Bank 1" and "Injector High Side Driver - Bank 2" output from ECM to drive the injectors. If the injector solenoids and wiring harness are good then Bank 2 Driver is bad.

Very Common Problem, and easily fixed, unfortunately we cannot give advice on the internet on other Companies products, If Your seller does NOT have the expertise to tell you what's wrong you are welcome to call us. BRAND NEW virgin injectors are very, very expansive, if your seller lead you to believe you have virgins is very unlikely.
