When I had the sensor out, I cleaned it with carb cleaner real well and blew it out. The first time that I tried to reset the code, it didn't work. The second time, it cleared and has been out since, at least a week now. My wife is driving the truck every day to work, so we will see. Her car, a '14 Chrysler 200S, is imitating the Exxon Valdez at the moment, bad oil cooler.

That is interesting you cleaned it and it may be back to working properly. I noted, both times I replaced the unit there was a lot of soot on the sensor. I did not know if this was normal but since it went 40K miles before failing the first I just figured the module was at fault. The second time was likely the fault of the module after only less than 900 miles. But...it did have soot build up that could rubbed off.

Are you saying the code or the CEL you reset , and it came back . I was under the impression you can clear the CEL
, but not the code until the problem is fixed , and then it will clear itself after so many miles or key cycles .

I’ve cleared the CEL , this is the first time after replacing the CCV filter , and so far no CEL . The first two times before the filter change I got the CEL back pretty quick . So far so good . All three CEL’s were the same issue P2201 upstream sensor .

Yes, the CEL came back immediately the first time. I probably didn't give it enough time to reset. I cleared it the next day and it stayed out, so far.

If you were to read the codes again , most likely they will still be there , unless you have enough time or miles for them to clear , that’s what I’ve been told .
