I have the 2017 3500/aisin and the dead pedal is horrible and unsafe in my opinion. I also threw SCR codes within 300miles and the dealer replaced the scr. Now at 3000 and the P229F and P20EE are back, can you believe it. I am starting to regret selling my 03.......

The dealers dont admit to any knowledge of either condition which tells me that they are afraid of the extent of the issues

There is a flash for improved throttle response that may or maynot apply for your truck. This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before October 31, 2016 (MDH
1031XX) equipped with a 6.7L Cummins Diesel engine (Sales Code ETK).

For your dtc's it sounds like they just threw a part at it.That will need some actual hands on testing

That is not normal. My 15 with Aisin has been flawless. I have no detectable dead pedal. The truck has never been back to the dealer for anything. Hope you get it resolved. Good luck.

So after looking the truck over and contacting Dodge apparently there was a brand new flash needed after replacing the SCR. *I have the details if needed. *Will see if new flash fixes recent CEL issue after replacing SCR with less than 300miles on the truck. *Crazy???? *So when are they going to fix the dead pedal issue. *I think this is just a plot to have all of us go to aftermarket tuners just to get the truck to respond appropriately then void all of our warranties....genius..:)

I have wondered the same thing. My dealer wouldn't even start a STAR case for my trucks dead pedal......I've contacted Chrysler and they are un-interested in my trucks dead pedal and keep telling me nobody else on the planet is having the same problem.

Perhaps different description would help?

I've called it engine hesitation, dead pedal, bog...........excessive torque management, etc. My biggest problem isn't really Chrysler, its the local dealer's service department. If the parts don't fall off in their hand, there's nothing wrong with it!

OK, guess what, the CEL back on again after dealer discussed with Chrysler and concluding that it just needed the brand new flash after the SCR was replaced on a vehicle with 300miles on it. The last two codes were in the title above. Im betting they will be the same again and the downstream NOx is out. Perhaps thats all it was the first time when they replaced the SCR.
