If you didn't delete, it could be your DPF is cracked? It's under federal emissions warranty.

I'd get it looked at.

I just finished reading that too. Funny, right now I'm on that vacation I attempted last weekend and another truck problem arises. I sure hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
I know you reside in WI....out of curiosity---where are you vacationing at???

Has your truck been back for ANY updates / reflashes??? I recall there were a few out at one time that "loosened" some of the constraints as to when certain CEL's would be displayed.

My truck got to poppin trouble codes pretty regular. The dealer would clear and say keep an eye on it.....they kept coming back so my diesel has "gone down the road" and I'll be waiting for more improvements before I get another. I'm not about to buy another one that's going to need thousands in tailpipe parts just about the time it's paid off.

I wonder if it's tied to the DTCs from your first attempt to go on vacation???

Virginia, MN, I grew up here and my parents and friends still live here. Spending time in the woods with my dad is my ideal vacation.

It's been almost a year since any updates/flashes have been done.

I imagine the temps & weather are similar---so I'd imagine none of that had anything to do with it (nor should it---anyway).
Sometimes it's just nuts how these trucks work....

Engine light came on today and threw this code. What does this mean and how bad is it?

With the big trucks I work on, This usually means the DPF has been breached. Are you getting a sooty tailpipe or any signs of soot on the bumper etc? Are you now able to roll coal? If so, then the DPF filter is broken or cracked.
A second thought would be that something happened to the sensor or the tubes going to it. Were you off roading or anything like that?

Wayne, I'll have to get back to you tomorrow on the tailpipe soot. I'm at the in laws and didn't bring the truck.

I haven't been off-roading at all. In the morning I'll crawl under the truck and look things over.

Truck is completely stock. I'm on vacation now, hopefully it can wait till I get home.

It's stock and it's under warranty. It can wait because the DPF and everything that might soot up after it is under warranty.

As long as it doesn't go into limp mode.

I'm afraid it will derate at a certain point. Tramplineman, look for small metal tubes before and after the DPF- think O2 sensors on a gas engine cat.- and follow them up forward and eventually they will connect to a small usually plastic sensor. Just check all the connections- that's pretty much all you can do. One long shot is that the tubes clogged with soot. That's a real long shot.

The diferential pressure sensor is mounted to the trans-very rare for the sensor to fail, they do have rubber hose to transition from the ss tubes

Ok, I just looked everything over the best I could. Visually, everything looks good. Nothing is broken, loose or unplugged. There is no soot in the pipe, it's clean.

Elevation here is 1371'. When I started the truck this morning, the engine light was on. I moved the truck about 200' and shut it off. Started it back up, engine light is off. I don't know?!
