Hey Matt,



I see you are burning vegetable oil in your truck... ... . has something gone wrong with your injection pump due to the oil? I am running vegetable oil as well and got a bad oil analysis back recently. I suspect the 370 injectors and too much pre-boost smoke allowing vegetable oil to make it past the rings. Anyway, I am interested to know more about your setup.

Waylan, The oil is what killed my pump but not directly. When I first started to run it I had water in it and didn't know it. So actually water is what damaged the pump not the WVO. I have the 370s also. I would recommend going with a smaller or a better aftermarket injector. I am embarrassed to say but I forgot to change my oil when I should and wound up with a serious problem. I totally quit pumping oil one day and when I pulled the stick the oil was so think it was closer to grease that oil. It was amsoil full synthetic. I am convinced that the 370s put WAY to much fuel at idle. It smokes at idle all the time. When I get my pump replaced I am going back to my stock injectors until I can afford some really good ones. One of the problems is that the 370s don't have the right spray pattern for the truck engine.

Signal73, do you have a VE exploded view 'key' ? I have an exploded view of a VE similar to the above diagrams, but no key with part numbers.

unfortunately I only have that one saved, I saw it on a site along time ago and had it saved to my pictures. If I can come across some others Ill get em up.
