IIRC -P7100 pump, inj. lines, lift lump, fuel supply lines from LP to filter and from filter to IP, gear case, gear case cover, front crank seal, you must r/r the camshaft in order to r/r the gear case.

In a nutshell its a real PITA and $$$ unless you are pulling the engine for other stuff like machine work. At least that is what I have been told.

I've been getting my stuff off ebay.

Gear Case

Gear Cover

Gears

Injection lines

Found a new heater that goes around the lift pump on ebay.

Probably have all of the other hard fuel lines. I need to check, but I think I have most of them.

Lift pump and crank seal I'll get new.

Do first and second gen use the same computers?

I didn't know the cam had to come out. Maybe that would be a good time to upgrade it.

"r/r"=remove/replace?

I'm putting the motor in a 76 ford for sled pulling. So the motor will be out of the truck and getting a rebuild. I've been looking on e-bay also but havent been finding much lately. Acouple of months ago there was alot more on there. Thanks for you replies.

Thanks,

Josh

Just to emphasize I am no expert on this swap, so there might be more stuff that is needed.

Yes r/r means remove and replace.

The cam must be removed in order to remove the gear case.

First gens do not have any computers, all mechanical, (beautiful simplicity) :D

When doing this swap on a 89-91 engine (non inter cooled), I do not know if the vacuum pump will need to be changed when the gear case is swapped or not. I know the 91. 5+ trucks had a different vacuum pump then the earlier non inter cooled engines.
