I talked with a tech @ piers today asking about how much trouble it would be to put a 12 valve head and all the fixens on my 01. He talked of changing the front timing cover w/a few machining mods (cam position sensor) and running a P pump with the 24v head with new injector lines.

Any body out there heard of this and if so with what results?

Been there and done that..... I don't recommend it unless you are looking to make in excess of 800 HP. The VP's driveability is by far much nicer. There is a ton of tuning to just get everything working well, plus the cost of doing the conversion.

Just my $. 02 worth.

I concur... don't do that conversion unless ultimate power is your goal. If you really want a 12v pump and head, just get a complete 12v motor and drop it in.
