I have not had any luck with the junk yards or the dealer. I am looking for the ball and socket fittings on the end of the linkage rods. If I have to I can machine the threaded pieces with the balls on the end. I would still need the socket piece. Is there a place to get these little pump parts?

According to dealer, that kit is no longer available. At 218 dollars I would think it would be a hot seller... . ahemmm.

Mine was replaced once incorrectly and then replaced for the second time , correctly by another dealer, because it was a safety recall and they never expire. Look up the TSB and get them to do it

Nothing on my truck is covered by anything except a tarp. The service manager at the local Dodge dealer told me they could be fined for having my truck in the service area.

Thats pretty funny :-laf I guess that means my shop owes a lot of money to somebody :-laf :-laf :-laf .

The recall parts are still available... ... ... dealers are not supposed to sell them because recalls are free, but since your truck is not covered???Engine swap and all the good stuff. You just need a more understanding place to do business with.

The regular throttle rod kit has been superceded to a huge pkg of parts, including some that don't fit on anything I have ever worked on.

If you just need the balls and sockets and keep getting the run around let me know and I will see what I can do.

I checked on these parts a couple of months ago at my dealer and they could have them next day.

At one time I was going to make my own for a spare because of the cost and found that the ball and socket on a lift shock on a jeep cherokee rear hatch was the same size

The balls are Part number is 5011959AB description ROD List price 48. 18 - my cost 36. 50 this was from Glenbrook Dodge here in Fort Wayne. I will be picking them up in the morning. I ordered in two sockets because the rear one is falling off as I drive. Recall as been done so they won't do it again - which I understand.

Parts guy says that he never sells the balls just the sockets - that was why I only ordered the sockets. In the mean time I took a piece of paper and wrapped it around the ball then snapped the socket over that - gotta get to work ya know.

I was given a part number of 05011726AA kit, throttle linkage. Price $218. 00 no longer available. This is supposed to fix the problem described in the TSB. I am not worried about the TSB, just want to replace the ends and move things around a bit. I will ask about the other part numbers. Thank you.

Picked up my part this morning from the dealer. I got the entire rod with both ends (just the sockets) so I got more than I was expecting. Now I don't feel bad about the price I paid. So I guess the description they had on the reciept was correct.

Just thought I would throw that info in there for future searches.

In my case it was a couple of layers of a plastic sandwich bag. Worked amazingly well! :-laf
