The event is going to start at 9:00. Based on that we should leave the campground no later than 8:30, leave Frederick Citgo no later than 8:00 and leave the park-n-ride at exit 29 no later than 7:30 if we want to use the facilities at the Frederick Citgo and get some coffee. Correct me if my math SUCKS.

Well, based on Keith's calculations, we will move all the previous times back 15 minutes. So far so good.

John

No time to:-{}

As a footnote, Kauffman's has finally got their website up and running complete with a link for directions (for those of you who have forgotten, or those that haven't gone before):

I just did a quick head count and if everyone who has replied as a "YES" shows, we are up to 17 CTD's. Just a few more than 5. :--) John

I am definitely going to be there spinnin the rollers. I PM'ed... . uh, someone, I forget who, so don't forget to count me. I just persuaded my buddy into spending $36,xxx a couple of weeks ago on a 2002. He will be coming with me, but he's not sure if he's gonna run his stock truck yet. it would be nice to have some stock numbers to compare to though!

I have a stock 01 that just might roll the rollers. It won't roll them like some of the folks on this site, but we are working on that. I rolled 223 RWHP at Benson.

I am looking forward to meeting as many Turbo heads that I can.

See Ya on the 16th.

Chris

I can be in about 2 minutes.

I am still waiting on that dash pod, I sure hope it gets here soon.

See Ya

Chris

Local info

How can we avoid the Washington/ Balitmore tariffic?

What is the ideal time to go through that area??

I would rather drive a 100 miles out of my way to avoid the stop and go thing in a big city.

We should be hitting D. C at about 1 in the afternoon. How bad will the tariffic be on a Friday??

Thanks for any info on this area.

See Ya on the 15/16th.

Chris

Chris-

If you are planning on 95N to 495 West (Washington Beltway) to 270N to Frederick I would advise making sure that you hit 495 by 12:30 at the latest. Isn't that a 3 day weekend? Friday rush hour here starts very early, especially on 3 day weekends. If you hit rush hour you will be in stop and go from 495 in VA most all the way to Frederick! (A very long way). There is a western route but I'm not qualified to advise you on that route (cross the Potomac River at White's Ferry?).

Dave.

Chris

I usually always take the route that Dave laid out up to PA. Last time I passed through DC it was between 12:00-1:00 and it was a piece of cake, but it was on Thursday. I hadn't thought about the President's day Holiday making for an earlier than usually rush hour. I'm glad Dave pointed this out.

Sometimes we run 17 over towards Winchester then ride 81 up to Harrisburg, if we would be in DC at a bad time. This does add some miles and isn't the best roads. I prefer to take the Beltway, even with the trailer in tow.

We might need to adjust our times to make sure we are through the mess by lunch time.

I'll be heading up on Thursday ... making a stop in Sparks, MD for V-day ...

How many are camping? I'll try to get us a group rate ... . unless someone already has ... ...

Keith

I think that there will just be 2 trailers. Chris, John and I are together.

I didn't think they would give us a break on 2 sites. If you want to try go ahead. Did you bother to make a reservation?

We will see you on Fri.

Wes

Hello all,

Fire'in up the diesel I'm in route. No dyno run this time cause I'm getting my trans DTT'ed on the 19th.

Paul

Guys coming up from the south.

Check you maps on this since it's been a while since I use to travel this route to Richmond.

On I-95 north at Fredricksburg, VA go west on Rt. 17 toward Warrenton, VA.

Then go N on 29-211 to Warrenton. Take the bypass towards Manasas, VA and look for Rt. 15 N (on the left) to Leesburg, VA. Take the Rt. 15 bypass around Leesburg towards Frederick, MD. Continue north to Ernie's.

Note: Rt. 15 is a 2 lane road and can get congested around Leesburg during rush hour. Actually it's between Leesburg and Frederick that it can be congested.

KennyM. Breakfast in Frederick sounds good. Waht about the rest of you folks coming thru Frederick on Sat. morning?

BTW Just in case your interested, I'm coming Oo.

tmacc,,i think we are going to be pressed for time to be at ernies at 9am. we're meeting up here at 7:15 and will show in frederick at approx. 8am. but if the convoy decides to stop and eat i will too.

Thanks Tom

After looking at the map you might have the best idea, since we are heading to Gettysburg. That is the route we take sometimes, not 81 like I said before, 81 is way over there.

See you guys soon

Wes

1BIG44

I was beginning to wonder why you would come all the way to I81. I was just getting ready to post the same directions TMACC did.

A day late and a dollar short.

John

TMACC, **ICEMAN**, we'll see what time we arrive in Frederick at the Citgo on 15 North befoe we plan on anything other than Gas Station coffee. Glad to see you're coming TMACC.

John

That route up through Warrenton I take ocassionally, BUT, I always try to hit the beltwat in the early afternoon as 15 from 29 to at least Point of Rocks (the Potomac River), can be horrible. The last I was down there they had construction at Leesburg, and the traveling can be slow on all the 2 lane.
