BD Dyno Day

Crud,The route listed above is a decent way as they have already said,,Depending on the traffic and time,Leesburg and Point of Rocks will be a little slow, but they will move much faster than the DC interstate traffic,,I do not know much about camper widths but one thing I know they ticket thru Leesburg and Point of rocks is "ANY" trailer 102" wide and it does not only pertain to truck traffic,,My hemi racer buddy of mine was cited last year where Rt 50 crosses with his 102" wide Gold Rush car trailer there,,Just a note for thought,,Larry,I'll chat with you Saturday on the hood,,Those who asked about snacks or eats, there are a few good pizza shops close if anyone is interested in a light lunch and some fast food also,,I'll be a little late coming in due to work, but looks like the weather out west will co-operate this week so maybe not to late,,I've got some others coming with Dodges that are not TDR members(YET) and are interested in chatting with some of us,,See you guys on Saturday... ...

Tmacc, I,m going to pass on the breakfast. I'm going to join the caravan at rt 97.

JStyer, Ch 19 good for CB's ? I'll be one exit north of Roundtop waiting. 8:30ish. Ken

Ken,

Where on 97 are you guys meeting? I live around 97 and 70.

Just another note for you southern folks. I've been working around the 95/495 at Springfield VA area for the past month or so and the Friday beltway rush hour traffic jam starts real early, like noonish. I've had one of my employees take 3 hr to get home to Balt. FWIW. :--) He was not a happy camper.

route 97

Channel 19 is fine. Look for you there.

TMACC, I believe he is referring to rt97 and rt15 in PA, which is one exit above Roundtop Campground exit.

Southern Guys, Take a look at 301

You guys may want to take a look at running 95 to 301 North just above Richmond, VA. You can run 301 all the way to 32 West in MD which will run you over to 70.

A lot of trucks run 301 to stay off the portion of I-95 that is part of the DC Beltway. The only downside of 301 is the patches of traffic lights when you hit the towns. The road is wide and mostly flat. Most of the heavy traffic on 301 will be southbound during the afternoon hours. 32 West, west of 95, can get a little heavy after 16:00.

According to Brad from Diesel Central there are 4 Dodges coming, you think they might be a little bit surprised.

Last minute ramblings

Ok Gang,A quick note then off to the west I go,,Don't forget to bring yourselves a formatted floppy disc so the gang can load your runs onto it,,They will also print sheets out to those who want them also,,When I chatted with Ernie this weekend they were just finishing up a VW dyno day and he said he was tired and very much looking forward to seeing us again,,He also said for those who can make it,regardless of weather(looks like a decent day Saturday, but we all know how right the weatherman has been lately),he'll make sure we have a way in even if we get white stuff,,For those who can make it early Santa is going to spin his newly B. O. M. Bed Intense Blue 2wd sleigh between 8:30 and 9am,,He was invited to show his Blown 340 small block 28 Dodge street rod(and if you ever get a chance to see it man is it a sweet ride) at the Harrisburg Motorama show and will need to exit early so he going to go first,,Hope all can show and looking forward to seeing you there... ..... Andy

Darned if you do and darned if you don't

Wes and John P

I guess we need to flip a coin on which way to go.

I am not picking the road, in stores I ALWAYS pick the slowest check out line. Wes your towing you choose. John and I will block for you.

Thanks for all the input. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

See Ya

Chris

15 on CB sounds good to me. When are you rolling in to the campground?? If everything goes good we should make it about 1400 I think?

Chris I hope to just stay on the big road, but we can call it when we get close.

tdr gathering

Hammer, Keith, John,

I just got back from Fla and read the post re to Sat Feb 16. I would love to be there but I have to go to a retirement party Sat at 1800 hours and I don't think I can do both. The retirement party is for a guy who worked for me for a long time and I can't miss it.

I will miss seeing all of you and having fun with the trucks.

Bill

OK guys I am hooking up with Jeff Knight in Harrisburg and we are trucking down together. We are planning on leaving the South end of Harrisburg around 08:00 and would like to meet up with you guys on the exit off Rt. 15, we would probably be there by 08:30 or so. Does this fit into the schedule of the convoy from the South?

Let me know what everyone thinks..... looking forward to Saturday. By the way is there anything else in the form of refreshments that needs to be brought?

Doug

Hook-up

JetPilot: That should be about right. We might be there a few minutes after 8:30 but that turn-off is only a few miles from Kauffmans. We will be on CB channel 19 coming up rt 15. See you and Jeff there.
