So there you have it,some of the unaccounted for were just spectators and watched the event unfold,,I'm not to good at keeping notes so I forgot some members truck years(sorry),,We never figured out who owned the 8. 1 Chevy dually and he never pulled(seems a shame),,1BIG44 and I did a pool so the Duramax owner had to pull(we put it up so he had to pull her or face certain humiliation)and he did with a smile(even though we could all tell he was very nervous),,Some stout numbers with the REAL Jet Pilot stunning us all(good thing he is a pilot to wheel that animal around the Central PA area streets,he still has Dave the wheelman wanting to go ricer flaming with it),,We even had our own turbo wars,The B-1 vs Piers Modified HX/40,which was better??,,Both were impressive to say the least,BUT,somehow I think John P. has still got some tricks and something up his sleeve,,All in all,a great day with the other groups, both Diesel-Central & Ford-Diesel,and we all look forward to the next round,,Now I got to find WireDawg and pass this secretary stuff back to him,,Well too windy for me now,,Had a great time... ..... Andy

To All, I had a great time. Looking forward to the next time. Again, great numbers Jetpilot. Thanks to you Andy(HAMMER) for getting this thing together. Till next time.

I want to say thanks to all of you guys that made this such a successful event! It was sure great finally putting names with faces. Being the first time at one of these events all I can say to anyone still on the sideline is "jump on in"... . A good time was had by all, there was even some bombing going on while dyno runs were being accomplished.

There was a wealth of knowledge on our diesel trucks at this event but even more impressive were the quality of folks there! I want to thank everyone there for making this such a great day:D.

Doug

There certainly was an impressive amount of black smoke. Right, Wirenut and John_P? What sight. Heard a report that icebergs were melting in the Antartic at an suddenly increased rate. LOL Thanks Andy for the heads up. Our 15 truck convoy from Frederick up to Kaufmann's was a trip to see.

B.O.M.B.ing INC.

Ya know I completely forgot about the totally in control BOMB of Jstyers ride while all the rollin' was a happening,,Dave D,John and TMACC a workin hard getting the pusher pump and banjo bolt install done for john to pull later looked like poetry in motion,,Somebody has GOT to get me a set of those totally radical, supertrick, high tech B. O. M. B. ing goggles TMACC had on,I only hope someone got a pic of them for all to see,,Tom all I wanted to do was warn you of incoming, didn't want anyone to call for pollution control,he he he he he ,,They just keep getting better and better... ... ... . :D :D :D :D

Thanks everyone who helped get this together and attended! That was really fun! Yes, I think we all still probably smell of diesel exhaust:D Now that I know where my truck stands I can really start bombing it!:p I got some cool pics today too, I'll put up my favorite here of the smokeout!

P. S. I did finally get to wash that thing on the way home!... now its snowing a little:eek:

Day Shift

Damn, sounds like I missed a great time and good learning experience. I'm new to the MDTDR and really wanted to go, but couldnt get anyone to switch shifts with me. :{ Guess I'll have to take vacation the next time. See you at the Buck maybe? I'll be there for that one:cool:

Bombing Session

I can't thank Dave Dee and Tom McCallum enough for helping (Tom did the Banjo bolts by himself) with the installation of the Carter pusher pump and Ray' Banjo Bolts. It was a great session and a lot of members, myself included, picked up a lot of pointers during the install. Before install, my factory lift pump was dyiiiing, at anything near full pedal it would drop to 0psi in a heartbeat and at cruise it would fluctuate between 5 and 9. After install it goes past 15psi (maximum read on mechanical guage) and almost back to zero. It cruises on level ground at 15psi at 65 mph. On level ground it only drops to 10-1/2 to 11 psi at WOT. WOW!!!!

It must be my imagination, but I swear the truck seems to run smoother and just "purrs" on the road. I should have done this sooner. My hats off to the Guys at Banks, especially Peter T. for working with me on my Ottomind problem. After the switch to the current Ottomind, which they overnighted to me at there expense and paid for the return of the other Ottomind, it really bumped my numbers, a 26hp gain and over 100 lbs torque. It is true that Banks is more expensive, but speaking from personal experience, the service and unending technical advice is worth every penny. Sorry for the essay, but I am so pleased with the way this CTD runs now, that I had to say something.

Another Quality Outing

Had a great time, good to see everyone again and good to meet some new folks. Hope to get the new list out sometime today or tomorrow, we have 59 members at this point.

Major thanks to our hosts, Kauffmann Motorsports and their crew, a first class operation, they seem to enjoy having us there as much as we enjoy being there. They opened up their other bay for a minor wrenching session and Ernie provided a few tools and small parts as well as some good natured ribbing that really helped out.

Doug's truck ran so hard on the dyno that the exhaust would blow the shop cart we were working off of about five feet across the shop, the exhaust was very heavy, lots of particulates. Pretty impressive display from a little 5. 9.

Andy your not the only one that appreciated Dr. Mac's scientific spectacles. I am going to try to round up a lab coat for Tom for the next wrench session to complete his look. Heard from John this AM, Dr. Mac's patient is fully recovered.

I am always impressed by the quality people that TDR gatherings bring together, what a great bunch of folks.

I'm happy...

I was only expecting around 300 h. p. When the first graph came up and Andy said"368h. p. -866 ft. lbs. "I was like:--) . This was my first ever time on the dyno and I was nervous about my truck and letting someone else run it. But the guys at Kauffmans are outstanding and did a great job all day. I just want to say thanks to Andy,John, and the Kauffman guys for making this weekend possible. I also want to say that it was an awsome site seeing almost 20 C. T. D. s taking up both lanes of rt. 15. We looked like a biker gang only with trucks;) ,and the lady in the Expedition even told us we were #1;) :) . Can't wait for the next get together. Doug

Once again anothr fun event at Kauffman's. I would have liked to have stayed longer but the Bug bit me. :( Keep us posted about the next event. The quarter mile sounds great to me!:D

yeah, I'm another one who is sorry to have missed it, but alas, believe it or not there are some other things in life that demand our time and attention. I'll be looking forward to the next gathering and hoping that nothing interferes.

Life is good, happy trails to ya.

Bill

Sorry Ramafid,,I knew you wanted to spin and when I looked for you they said you cruised due to sickness,,You couls have lined up out there with "Sleeping Beauty"(aka-1BIG44)as he was also under the weather and relaxing it off(I never knew windows on a RAM could be sucked in by a guy snoring,or he could sleep with all that HP rumbling),,A neighbor stopped and told of hearing what we were doing all the way to the corner with a big smile

Cobra,Life always has other callings we all know that and look forward to seeing your smiling face soon,,Glad that you said life is good, man what a phrase can you dig this---I LOVE MY CUMMINS,LIFE IS GOOD!!,,Whew what a site for your truck we'll get the graphic's master make it for you and when we see you,he he he he he... .

Now if I can only figure out where DR. TMACC got those goggles... ... .

Sorry I had to miss this one, I really wanted to dyno my truck. I needed to spend some time with my family. Friday afternoon we put our little Peekapoo down, he was almost 19 and sick.

I'm glad to see you guys let the Phords and Chebbies know who's boss.

Ken

A great time was had by all ... . Lisa got 1BIG44's stomach straightened out when we got back to the campgruond ... he was then a happy camper ... some great video was taken by CRUD ... . he even got some shots of the little sink out in the porta potty ... good thing he wasn't washing his hands in there!!! Sorry we left the cheese and crackers back at the RV ICEMAN ... the deer bologna was excellent!!

At the end of the day I stole JohnP's truck ... he stole mine along with Lisa and my dog ... . I was all smiles on the ride back to Round Top. There were a few not so happy folks on the way when I turned the fogger on :D :D

Too bad there were only a few droF's ... we scared them off!! But we do have a new nickname for the Durapad ... . now known as "Light Days"

The 15 truck procession from Round Top to Kaufmans was a gas ... the gal that owns the campground ran back to her house to get her camera so she could get pictures of the rumbling Rams ... she was quite impressed ... . Looked good rolling into Kaufmans as well!!

Hats off again to the folks there ... . they sure make ya feel at home!!

See ya'll sooooooon!!!

Keith

At present, I am still "on the road" enroute to Scheid's

for the repair of that "pesky" head gasket! I am with

"Briar Hopper" tonight and he is letting me "borrow"

this nice laptop to add to this thread.

Hammer, my thanks to you and Kauffman Motorsports

for putting this event on! Wes, my sincere thanks for

allowing me to "bunk" with you and Chris! (Man you

drive slow Chris!!!!) Keith, hopefully I will see you

and Lisa in a few days to FINALLY kill that DP!! I enjoyed

our truck "swap" Keith. I finally got to see what the

back of my truck looks like when it is pouring all that

black smoke over the vehcle I am driving!!! Yes, it is

pretty bad, but not near as bad as that garage looked

after my run!! Lisa, do you think they got the Ford

PSD "cleaned up?"

It was a pleasure to have met everyone!!

That "caravan" from the campsite to Kauffmans

was awesome even if we did "p*** off" that lady

in the maroon Ford Explorer! I still can't believe

she gave me the finger when she drove past me!!!!

Doug, congratulations on your "high" numbers!

You have one fine truck!! Maybe I can get closer

to you next time!!

Thanks again to everyone for a GREAT DAY!!

keith,,you know i'm kinda setting a pattern at these events,,

i always have something with deer in it,,hot dogs,,chip deer,,bolony,,whats next?? maybe some of my homemade deer jerky. oh,,and dont forget tailgate graphics,,always a few of them laying in my truck.
