Does anyone have the new Pacbrake PRXB on their 2nd gernation? After reading a lot of posts for the search engine it seems like a lot of folks like their pacbrakes and I notice a lot less complaining versus other brakes. From what I gather on the Pacbrake website the PRXB option is only for the newer 3rd gernations..... is there going to be one coming for the 2nd or the older version going to be it? Because if a new one is coming down the road I would wait a little while to get a better version.

Thanks,

Thad

We are a pacbrake dist... . I was talking to them Thur about new items coming in 07, but at this time there are no plans to make the PRXB for the 2nd gen trucks... . I do have the standard brake available... . We're closed for the holidays... . will be back in the office on Tue... . PM me for more information... ...

I'm sitting here getting caught up as I've got my honey do jobs done... ... . and bed is an hour away or so.....

Have a merry Christmas to all... ...

Yes, it is technically available. I called Pac Brake direct and explained what I needed. The brake will be used on the crew cab. The one I ended up buying was the inline model. As it is a inline version, the turbo style will not matter because it will be bolted in line to the exhaust. I went this route as well because I can now run any turbo I want and all I will need to change is the pipe between the turbo and e-brake. If you need more info, just ask.

I got a call from one of the reps from Pacbrake last week about a project I'm working on. And they do have a PRXB coming out in early '07(i was told January) for the 2nd Gen with a HX40. (Thats my project) I was trying to get a '04. 5 to work on my '02 and after alot of phonecalls and emails we have come to the conclusion it will probably be alot easier for me to just wait a month or two instead of trying to fab my own. Though, they might just want to sell more by having me wait... . which I don't believe. They seem like some some real stand up guys that stand behind their product. I'll let you know more after I have mine!
