Is any one else having the same trouble with their PAC BRAKE I am having? I had it install about 3 yrs. ago on my 02 3500 when it was new. At about 1 yr. the big cylinder that operates the butterfly went bad. It was under warranty so it was replaced. About a year later it stated acting up again, I took it to a dealer. He said that there was dirt in the solenoid, so I payed them to clean it and show me how. It still acted up from time to time, so I would clean it. Well last july I went to a RV rally in Oregon & PacBrake had a booth so I ask about it. The Technician that was there said that the solinoidf had a burr in it. But to call and he would make arrangements for a exchange. I called them twice & E-Mailed them twice. All they would say was take it to a dealer. They haven't answered my e-mails. I can't believe that it should cost from $200-$350 a yr. to have the brake after it is out of warranty. I love the brake when it works. Oo.

No solenoid problems with mine. The butterfly shaft was sticking and I upgraded to the new housing. Their customer service IMO isn't very good, but I still like the brake. It holds back better than the Jacobs.

Mine has been on my truck for about 5 years, I've never had a problem with it at all. I do use it all the time and have been told they can gum up with soot if not used frequently.
