I know this has probably been answered many times, BUT, I just purchased a new 3500 dually and since, on my last cummins,a 92 I installed a pac brake and loved it, I thought I would put one on the new truck. Being apprehensive about affecting the warranty I called 3 different service managers and got 3 different answers. Yes it would void the transmission warranty, no it wouldn't. Finally I got in touch with the factory Rep. and was told that Dodge would not honor the warranty if anything happened that could be tied to the addition, like trans. failure. Even adding the tq lock up would not help. Has anyone experienced this problem, because I sure liked the safety that the brake offered, but don't want to negate my insurance?

The choice you are facing is that if you want to use the Pacbrake you have to give up the warrantee on the automatic transmission. That's just the way it is. You can put up with the stock transmission with it's weakness until the warrantee runs out or you can upgrade to a real transmission that you can use your brake with plus better transmission performance. Talk to Bill Kondolay at http://www.dieseltrans.com/DTTech/index.sht to get a better feel for the situation. Bill has a LOT of satisfied customers on these forums. No BS from Bill about this stuff.
