Pac Brake's new shifter switch...

Wow, that thing looks very nice. Does it light up when engaged?? I am under the impression it goes on the shifter. How much or is that allowed?

I would like to have one of those maybe not for the pacbrake but for some other defice!

Mine is also a round toggle but it is black and has a red LED that lights when it's on. I mounted it in the shifter knob (where the pattern used to be) I concealed the wires inside the stick.



It works well and I haven't hit it accidentally. (I worried it might be a problem)



Not sure that one mounted on the front of the stick wouldn't hit my dash.

Well, it's so new that Pac Brake had to email me a pic of it before I could decide on the purchase. $35 and some change for the switch and it does light up when turned on. Not in the picture is the allen bolt used to secure it to the shifter. I was tempted, though, to get a racerboy shifter nob with 4 recessed buttons in the nob. Those were very cool but I fear without the shift pattern displayed on my current nob I would forget the shift pattern.





BTW, not a vendor.

I've been lusting for the Racerboy knob myself, if I had steering wheel mounted radio controls I would have already ordered one of the six button shift knobs with the infrared control unit. Larry

All the shift knobs with switches are giving me shifter envy. I reaized on my way home, when I looked down, that with a 4x4 I have one right there. Could a Racerboy or other switch enhanced shift knob fit onto the transfer case shifter?



Larry, didn't I buy DDIII's from you? And did you say six button shift knob with IR?

Yes I think you purchased a set of the early, black DD III-A injectors. How are they doing? I know a couple of folks that would be glad to take them off your hands . I don't know why the Racerboy wouldn't fit your transfercase, hmm... ... . 12 recessed buttons total??? Webpage below gives more info, and you can get a blownup picture of the knobs. Larry

I first saw this new switch at the Pac Brake booth at Jamboree III (Dave Smith Motors) in August of this year.

I saw the pacbrake switch at Piers shop last time I was there. I also think we has them on his website and in stock too. Of course you will have to call him to check out that last part.
