Auto transmission Bind up 2

Hooked up "the wire" last night!!

How they power their units seems like something they want to leave out of their product discription... but do I have this straight...

Jacobs: Needs an auxiliary vacuum pump and a different serpintine belt.

PacBrake: Uses onboard vacuum pump.

I really do not want another vacuum pump and belt if not necessary.

With the Pac, on a '99, you have to buy an adapter for the back of the turbo. That adds about $50 extra to the cost but they are still about the cheapest out there.

more questions...

I am starting to lean towards the Pac. . I am already SOL on warranty, SO, it seems they (Jacobs vs Pac) are nearly identical in features and the Pac is cheaper... My question now is...

* Does the cruise control freak out the Pac?? They mention cruise control in their installation . PDF but don't really say what the problem might be.

* Do you need the throttle switch or can you run off the ECM #20 pin.

*What is the operation like using just the #20 pin.

(ie. does it engage when you let off the throttle, get on the brakes or both)
