I notice that while warming up my truck with the pacbrake engaged during high idle (cold weather) that smoke was spewing out of the blow-by tube. Is this normal? The reason I ask is that my second turbo is leaking oil from the compressor housing and I'm wondering if the pacbrake is causing some kind of excessive back pressure within the engine.

I have heard from a few sources, but nothing in writing, that you want oil pressure to exceed exhaust brake pressure for the seals in the turbo. I have no clue if thats true or not, but from what I have read the pressure on a PXRB at idle is higher than oil pressure. . when the enigne is warm.

The peak backpressure on the PXRB is the same as the OE brake, but from idle-2400 rpms is has more pressure.

I really don't think its the issue either thou.
