I had installed a PacBrake about 3 mo. ago and all was fine. I was happy with the retarding power pulling my 5th wheel. I had washed the truck (thought I was careful in not getting the relay wet) and this weekend my PacBrake would not activate. The Butterfly was ok, it just would'nt come on. Called tech support toll free, they advised how to clean the valve in the solenoid and it worked like a charm. I guess the valve was not opening all the way before as now it slides the rear weels in 2nd gear in the dirt and threw my dog Smoke into the floorboard. I have much more retarding than I ever had before. I am happy. :D :D :D

I also got great support. When I ordered mine I didn't realize that the switch bracket for the 1st gen's came with the down pipe. I tried to make the old bracket work an broke the diode. I called and they sent me the bracket and diode priority mail, N/C. gotta love good people.

Pacbrake company

They sent the newer ECM actuater for mine after the one under the pedal went bad. No charge.

Any company that is ISO 9000 rated is a top notch company. It takes alot of effort at excellence on their part to obtain that rating.

I have found that lubricating the shaft on the actuator with Triflo teflon spray works well. After several sprays it has worked perfectly for over a year.

Me to

Don, Could you send me the info also ?? Sometimes it feels like the brake is not closing all the way .

Thanks:D

Bill S Is The Man!!

That's the same info I got. I didn't know it was on the website. I will use saranwrap when washing the engine in the future. You need to twist the valve when reinstalling, to keep from screwing up any O-Ring. ;)
