Put on my 4" remote pacbrake last week and used it all weekend and it was great. However, now it leaks air around the shaft that activates the butterfly valve. Any ideas on cleaning it or lubing it with something? Other than that, I used it without a throttle switch and with a 16" GN and 4 horses in tow, I am all :)

There is some air that can leak around the shaft but it should be very little... Can I assume this is a new installation and the pacbrake is the new design with a nitrate coating on the housing... . if so than nothing should be needed...

Remember there is up to 60 psi of pressure around part of that shaft and some air movement will occur. . if not the expansion from heat would bind the shaft. .

Since you installed in line kit and not a direct mount you did calibrate it with a gauge, or ordered it to fit your Dodge. . if it was not bought for your Dodge than calibrate it before further use... .

If you have more questions give us a call... I'm on the road now but call Jack at 800. 445. 4696 from 8-5 M-F at our office and he'll help...

Well it leaks a lot of air and it only activates the brake every now and then. It is a used brake and maybe 3 years old. Are there any o-rings or anything that I can replace so it doesn't leak around the shaft. I think it is a C10300 brake. And yes I made my own gauge that is water filled and I set it at about 50 psi to be a bit on the safe side. Any ideas on fixing this thing would be appreciated. I tried a little high temp grease and that helped a bit, but not a total fix.

Thanks,

Jamie
