I've finally come to the conclusion that the Pacbrake is the way to go. I was concerned about Dodge warranty issues with the Pac instead of the Jake... . but I guess I really don't care anymore...

My question is... . is there one part # that I can order that will include EVERYTHING that I need for the install? And who has a decent price, but more importantly, who has GOOD customer service?(should the need arise)

I only mention that customer service part because it seems that more and more companies are forgetting that Customer and Service is what makes or breaks a company!

Anyway... . my truck is an 06 4x4 automatic that is completely stock... exhaust... turbo... etc. Only thing that might become an issue is a 1/4" exhaust thermocouple thats mounted post-turbo. Not sure if the Pac has a provision for it or not???

I really like for things to look factory, not sure if the Pac just uses a simple toggle switch or if its something nicer???

One other question, can the same on-board air compressor be plumbed in to add rear air bags?

Any help/insights would be greatly appreciated... Thanks.

Great customer service, you will not be disappointed and always great prices.

I got mine from him about a year ago.

Sorry, I dont' know the Part #'s but he will hook you up with them.

I have mine plumbed into run the airbags. Pacbrake sells a controller to do that also. I don't have theirs, but would like it. I use my firestone controller for the time being.

Buy it from Jelag, Jim. He was very helpfull when I switched over from the Jake to the PAC system and since I already had a compressor for my Firestone bags he just sold me the parts I needed.

I have not yet bought anything from Jelag, but when I do want a Pac Brake, I will buy it from him. He runs a fleet of CTD's and is extremely knowledgable about our trucks, participates regularly in these forums, and always has something useful to say. If you are unsure about it, search the forums for posts he has written and check out the ones about the Pac Brake. They are always polite, concise and full of information.

PS--NOT putting down Rip, or anyone else for that matter!!

Sounds like the guy I need to do business with then... Just did some reading on the Pacbrake site... looks like a really simple install. I couldn't find any info on whether it had a spot for my thermocouple or not... Guess I can always find a spot and drill it.

Thanks for all the responses.

Motorhead... . you should have given me a call..... our pricing is less than you paid... . the last time I mentioned prices here I got in trouble... just email me... ... . we offer free freight to TDR members and no sales tax to out of WA buyers...

Wingate... . there is a test port in the exhaust brake that is 1/4" NPT... . you can install your EGT thermocouple there is you wish... . that's where we put them when a customer wants EGT.....

Have a great day... .
