Just wondering if ya got out to the track today and what the results were? Hoping you chime in here before I leave for work. . otherwise I'll have to wonder bout it all night long!

Did you get an HX40 on???

hey kat , i went to the track , but did not race , was unable to get everything in place to make a run , meaning i had work to do around the house which didn't allow me to install the HX40 , change my oil and drop my trans pan , still haven't done it .

but there was a guy there at the track with a truck like yours ,reg cab 2500 with 4. 10s , he had a blue box set at 50 , BD step 4's and an EZ edge , stock TC , suncoast VB that was hard shifting , line pressure to high and a stock tubo with a 14cm housing and no wastegate .

13. 84 at 95 plus mph , he spanked a GN on that run ...

my trans seems to be slipping , or my gov sensor is gone again , either way i need to get into the trans and see whats up , maybe that 26k with 375 plus to the ground and no trans mods what so ever is beginning to rear its ugly head ???

talked to stephan , fgured out what is helping you surpass me in speed , its the 400 plus pounds less you weigh than me . that guy at the track go on the scale and he said he weighed about 6300 lbs ...

I need to weigh the truck but I bet its around 6500lbs... ... is my guess. Is the race season over for you? have 4 more Sundays to run..... this sunday will run with current setup and practice shifting out of 4wheel drive and see if that frees me up on the topend any.

4 wheel drive?

when launching in 4 wheel drive, how does the 4x4 disengage? do you put it back in 2x4 between shifts? i need some info before i try it... ... . james

So far I have ran the whole way in 4 wheel drive. It just don't sound too happy at 90mph. So next trip to the strip going to work on shifting out some how.

We'll see how it works I guess.

90 mph in 4x4?

THAT can't be GOOD!!

what if ya shifted out after risk of slipping tires? i spin threw two gears when i hold the boost at three lbs at launch... ... james

Sure it can't be good..... but it works :D I'm gonna wait until I am in 2nd or 3rd before I shift out. I am hooked on the 4 wheel drive launchs... ... ..... I like my 1. 88 60 ft time. So no more 2 wheel drive for me... waste of time :D I've only been to teh track twice. 9 passes total... the 9th one being the quickest... I'm still learning.

Next trip is work on shifting out of 4 wheel at some point to free up top end..... I think I can improve my time with jsut that "change".

no , the season is over unless i go south , not sure how far south though ... going to maryland next weekend , i'll see if the track is open down there , my trans is coming out on saturday for a long overdue update kit .

as far as getting out of 4wd ,if i were to condone such action :D:D ... once you get rolling and out past the 60 ft mark just slip the 4wd lever forward , no throttle lift required  . james , if you have enough power to slip those 4 rears after that far you need slicks :D:D

that guy last sunday was using 4wd the whole way down also , i told him what to do , didn't seem to make a huge difference , i think but he did go from a 14. 0 to 13. 8 ... he ran once more and i didn't see what he turned . i did let him drive my truck , he was impressed with my TC . he wants one next , his truck with the TC and slicks would be knocking on hi 12's ...
