Wasn't that how the old Hee-Haw song went?

Lift pump dead as a doorknob at 96k for me. Do I get the record for the longest lasting one, and is there a prize? :)

A *lot* of them go over 100,000 miles - the one I tore apart for a pictoral spread in this group was one sent to me by an owner who swapped in a new one at well over 100,000 mile just on general principles - and IT looked to be good for another 100,000 miles judging by the excellent condition of all the internals... ;)

You best get it in to the dealer. I just had mine replaced . I have 56000 on my 2001\2500. Mine was replaced @ NO CHARGE to me. Good Luck

Dealer swapped it out with no problems, other than the $40 fuel filter, but I was ready to get the truck back on the road and I approved it so I can't say too much (sharing a vehicle with the wife was a pain). The engineers are probably saying... "dang, in 4000 miles we would've had him!"

Time for a pusher pump of some variety I suppose.
