Any tips on how to deal with the peeling OEM paint? I am thinking about having my 91. 5 repainted and was wondering if the shops charge extra to deal with the peeling paint that hasn't bonded to the primer. If I wait another couple of years nature and the car wash will strip the paint for me but I am not willing to wait that long or look that bad. I've noticed this peeling paint on many vehicles made by the big three in the late 80's and early 90's. Is grinding or paint stripper used in this process? I was thinking about tackling this part myself it it would save a bunch of $. Any suggestions? Also-my one ton (single rear wheels) has no cab marker lights. Is this common?
