I was hoping Denver area members could recommend a few high quality paint shops (no econo-cheapy shop). The driftwood centerband on the divers side is developing blisters and flaking off. Need to get this taken care of before winter. My neighbor had Maco's top of the line paint job and body work done here in Aurora, and I'm not one bit impressed. His car has no gloss and the paint feels rough. And get this, Maco told him he has to take it in once a year for them to buff and polish the paint, or they won't honor the paint warranty (think it was 5 or 7 yrs). I told him by the looks of their work he is going to be needing that warranty. The bondo repair work is already cracking and it's only been about 3 or 4 months.

I've had them do some insurance work and were very prompt and I think they have a good reputation. They are at Colfax and Tower Rd. Look for some more recomendations from others in the area also.

"Hanks autobody", I70 frontage rd and about Kipling. Next to MEDVED The name implies a hole in the wall one man shop BUT its actually a very large shop that a lot of big dealers use. They do Mercedes - on down and do dealer quality work. I havn't used them (no accidents-Knocking on wood) But my father just had his gran cherokee fixed and they matched the paint perfect.

Not to intrude on 1tuffram's thread here, but do any of these paint shops do airbrushing. I'd like to take Icemans tailgate graphic one step farther and have it airbrushed onto the tailgate.

Their on the other side of town - Aspen Auto Body, 91st & pierce. They just changed their name to ABRA. My wife just got her car fixed there. They turn out primo work every time! Craig
