I've been messing with my paint program. What do you guys think of this color scheme?
Ya, do not put the SS panels on your truck. All your hard work will be destroyed in no time. Where you live, snow, water, salt and sand will collect behind the SS panels and completely rust the truck. This is known from experience on my truck and many other trucks from guys I know that thought these panels LOOKED good.
I've had the bottom 18'' Line-X'd on my '06 for 3 years now and it still looks as good as day one. No rust, dings, rock chips or any other form of noticeable abuse. I highly recommend this. BTW, truck was solid silver when ordered. I had the dealer spray it before I even picked it up. It's two tone silver/black and looks great. To each his own. Anyway, this is your truck, paint it how YOU want. Who cares what others think!
Now don't take this the wrong way.It reminds me of Halloween: kind-of pumpkin-ish? Or maybe candy corn? You could use it to terrorize trick-or-treaters. Hide train horns underneath.
BTW, the grill installed just fine. But it makes the rest of the truck look shabby.

I would like to suggest the lower section of the rockers in Line-X, all the way around (including the bumper) and probably the flares. My truck is an '01/white and Line-X'ed rockers. I now have an aluminum front bumpre. . but it will be getting Line-X'ed on the bottom 1/2 after being powder coated on the top 1/2. I believe that with all of the work you have done you need to look for practical, proven protection on all parts that will be subjected to the most damage.
I think silver or tan/gold would be better than black. Whatever you do, do the flares and the lower bumper too. With some different wheels with more backspacing you could get by with N-fab steps to protect the rockers and door skins.
well I know its not the same color, I did the rhino liner and I have nothing but problems next time will be line x. but I do believe its the person that preps it right and applies it correct. if that was the case I wouldn't of had all of the peeling or chunks missing in my bed. the rocker panels dont get the abuse like the bed so they look good still.

Love the color & your paint work... eager to see the complete paint job! Oo.
yeah I would like to take better pictures too. I will snap a few close ups for you this weekend. I might have the sun out. I just think my installer on my rhino cut corners I had to bring it back to him probley 4 times for major errors. it was a good price and now I know I got what I paid for plus a free headache.
Looking great. As for the color scheme, I like blacked out including the bumpers like the first pics. I don't think the pics are an indication of how it would look when finished. Between the mismatched photoshop paint colors and the dirty wheel wells and tires, it does look lousy in the pic. But I think once everything is cleaned and shined up, and a few black matching accents, I think the black all around would look great. I even think a black grill or at least grill inserts would look good
