Anyone need a cat?

DOT question?

To preface, I'm an engineer, so unless there is a spell check, you better be an engineer to understand me!

Why do some people have a hard time hitting the period key and then the enter key?!? Not to be an english teacher or anything, but when I get home drunk, it is darn difficult to read their replies! :-laf

I know my thoughts ramble, but a full screens worth of text without a break?!? At least throw a period in after five minutes of typing... ... .

That's ... ... ... ..... why ... ... ..... we ... ... ... ..... type ... ... ... ... real ... ... ... ... slow, ... ... ... ..... because ... ... ... ... . we ... ... ... ... ... know ... ... ..... that ... ... ... ... . you ... ... ..... read ... ... ... ... ... slow ... ... ... ... . too. SOMETIMES ... ... ... ... WE ... ... ... ... LIKE ... ... ... ... . TO ... ... ... ... SHOUT ... ... ... ... TOO. :D

Oh my, and how about the creative spelling of simple, single syllable words?

Makes my head hurt... ... ... ...

I know (is communicating only on the internet knowing  ) one engineer, Rusty JC, who has a pretty good grasp of english grammar!!!! According to what he has stated previously his mother was an english teacher, and she explained (drilled?) the concept of good grammar and english research into him. Got a lot of us using dictionaries, etc. so guess his mother is still teaching :D !!!!!!!!!!!!

From some of the posts I read (from all types of sites), English, Punctuation, Grammer, and Spelling aren't taught in the schools anymore.

Or the one day these subjects were covered, the student was sick.

Or the 'teachers' ignored all of the student's errors.

I'd better stop. After 20 years Air Force as an Admin Spec, this is one of my hot buttons.

Since my mother died of cancer in 1968 at the age of 49, that's one of the greatest things you could have said about her. Her legacy lives on! Thanks!!! (By the way, she was in the classroom until 10 days before her death. )

Wayne, her first job coming out of college was in Deming, NM! ;) :D

This would be great... I could read this drunk

I've gotta agree with Dan here. It's just easier to read if it's typed like we speak. Don't get me wrong, I can use real grammar and I generally do but... ... there are situations for all types of communications.

I have to agree with the original point as well, period..... enter (maybe enter twice)..... it's not complicated.

When I see a full page with no breaks in it, I usually just move on unless it is a very interesting topic. I lose my place reading something like that about a dozen times before I can get through the page.

That and the people that leave the caps key on, thats hard on the eyes too.
