Hello~~ I'm at the point that I want to install 3 gauges in my CTD and have chosen Autometers Sportcomp series, but however have the following cocerns and questions that I hope you can help me with. I was planning on getting fuel, boost, and EGT but after talking to the dealer yesterday, boy an I confused. I was trying to get info on what the fuel pressure was on my year of truck so that I would buy the correct guage( 0-15 or 0-100 psi Autometer) and was asked"Why do you want one? It won't give you any information or help you. Besides the pressure in the fuel lines are at 38,000 psi so where do you plan on getting your reading? Maybe the 2002's don't have a lift pump problem? As a newbie, I had no idea so that is why I'm turning to the great help of the TDR. What are the parameters that I will need to be monitoring on the above gauges so that I buy the correct ones? Are mechanical or electrical gauges better? I plan to do the install myself, so any information would be VERY much appreciated :) Thanks to all, Cliff

At least your dealer seemed to know what a lift pump was... too bad they didn't know what pressure it puts out.

EGT 0-1600 (pre-turbo)

Boost 0-35psi - works good for mildly BOMBed, but if you go further you'll probably want a 0-60

Fuel - 0-16 psi - takes care of standard fuel pressures. If you add a pusher, you might need a 0-30 depending on your pusher pressure.

I've got Autometer Z-series, they match pretty well too.

Hey cberry

Lift pump output is a rated at 15 PSI 100 gph I think. I ordered a Di-Pricol mechanical with a fuel isolator from Genosgarage.com that is 0-30 PSI. 15 PSI is straight up. Although it sound like 9-13PSI at Idle and no less than 5 PSI wide open throttle is what i've been told to look for. A little new at this myself. Forget the 100 PSI.

Stock boost will max around 20-22 PSI(maybe a little higher on your HO?) I ordered a 0-30 PSI However the severely BOMBed Boys have no problem approaching 60 PSI and beyond. (after market & twin turbos) I'll be needing an upgrade on the boost someday.

EGT 0 to 1500 is what I ordered' Do a search on gauges, fuel pressure you should find a lot of posts.
