park lights

i have 1994 dodge cummins dually automatic the park lights will not go off i have pulled the fuse and the switch off of the truck and they still stay on when you cut the switch off they dim but dont go off the head light and dash lights go with the swich but not the park lights

there was a recall out on the headlamp switches. i believe your truck falls under that. the problem was they were not rated for amperage and were melting internally.

Also will sometimes melt wires together externally of the switch and the dealer has a switch kit available w/a short section of replacement wires to repair the problem. That switch was only about $ 5/ more than without the wires. RC
