Parking Brake Release

Anyone had trouble with the parking brake release?
Truck is a 24 month old 2018 with 17k. As you know, the parking brake release is located on the lower left of the dash and is basically a small panel that swivels on two posts located at the top of the panel. The cable is located at the bottom of the small panel and moves outward to release the brake when the panel is pulled outward.
One of the posts broke and I see no way to remove and replace it. The rod that runs horizontally the posts swivel on does not appear to be removable and seems to be a part of the dash. kind of a flimsy setup

Been there done that,. I've broke mine before.. On my 06 and my 18, Parts department can get you a replacement e-brake flapper/handle thing.... About $23. Gotta remember it's plastic now.

Had to replace mine, it was easy.

Thanks for the responses. Got the part and installed. Was an easy repair. Cost was $36. I had no idea there was a replacement part.
