mabe some one can help, i had my truck at the dealer, my parking brake lite is out they told me it needs a parking brake sensor. to fix it ,it would be $260 :--) does anyone have a part # i'll do it myself and save the cash!

Sounds like its either the park brake switch or maybe the cable is out of adjustment? My cable needed to be slackened a bit 'cause the light wouldn't go out. It's good to go now.



You can definitely replace the switch yourself. Save some big bucks!

$260?Must be slow at that dealer. The switch is about $8-12 and only takes about 15 minutes to install. The switch is located on the ebrake assembly. Just look under the dash at the ebrake. Its up towards the firewall and held with 2 small screws.
