Bought a set of 275's and didn't get to install them for 6 months, finally took 'em to a Diesel Shop in Akron, OH and had 'em pop tested before they installed them - - all tested very well, but it was worth the $17. each to check 'em before they installed them. These were also bought over the phone and shipped from a well known TDR adveriser - - I'm VERY happy with results.

Alright! More happiness in the injector world. .

Ilian, my clutch is one of the original modified sachs clutches that was one of the first of the high HP handling clutches when the "bombing" thing was in early stages. Then Southbend came out with their Con FE which is probably one of the most comparable to this custom sachs in HP handling range, mine may be a bit more grabby, but have just learned to drive it that way, so i dont even notice it much anymore. Definitely more clamping force than this truck needs nowadays, but at least she doesn't slip - at all. Was contemplating the OFE next time around, but starting to read reports of them being a little more aggressive than before. The thing I like about this clutch is it is very stout, it has a bit more spline contact which is a little easier on the input shaft, and relatively low inertial mass (easier on the syncros). I may see if the builder can re-line it with an organic material for smoother operation the next time around, but dont know if he wants to deal with them anymore.

Glad you guys like those injectors, its like BOB4X4 says, these trucks dont need to run high HP to run well. Their torque is what makes them fun to drive - IMO

Added: Smarty (with the "Revo" software) really brings out the torque of these motors. That, combined with mild injectors and free'd up exhaust makes for a great daily driver (credit given again to BOB4X4 for his recommendations). The clutch will be iffy, unless you use the mildest settings and dont roll it on hard in the higher gears (which is hard on the drivetrain anyways).
