Vaughn, If you use the earlier picture in the post, the mirror flips up using the far outboard of the arm as the pivot. As the mirror sits virtical, the arm pivot is the inboard side of the mirror. It sits 13. 25 inches off the glass of my driver's door. Hope this helps.

If this helps

I had the origonal manual flip ups and I could see great when used for towing. Did not like that they were manual and did not want to tackle the conversion at that time so I switched to the CIPA electric mirror. Could not see as well on the passenger side with the CIPA's as compared to the stock flipup. I need to tilt my head over to see around the right side of my trailer.

I have a 8'x16' enclosed cargo, the manual mirrors are at their limits with the 8' width.
