Anyone out there have a good part number for a MOPAR specific CAT test pipe? I wanna "test" my truck w/o the pipe. Called the local Dodge Truck dealer today... ..... wasn't exactly "enthused" about helping me find such a part if it existed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!!!!

You da man. I can hardly wait to "test" the absence of my Cat. I can also hardly wait to talk to our less than enthusiastic mopar dealer here in rapid city.

Many thanks and happy truckin.

Totally out of curiosity (I'm no cat therefore no fear of curiosity consequences) how much does DC want for these "Test Pipes"? and could/would it be cost effective to have a short pipe of proper dimensions cut/bent by a muffler shop?

Goin into the dealer tomorrow... . I'll let you know the price... if they'll coperate and gimme the (*&! part.

My plan B is just the one you mentioned. Gonna use a Walker 4-3" adapter and a properly bent pipe and build my own darn part if I have to.

Hope I don't have to go that far.

The funny part of all this is that when I'm done with this mod and after I add straight through design muffler... . the next step is propane... . which by the way makes our trucks burn about as clean as any tree hugger's CIVIC around.

End of the rant.

Just called dealer with part number 52019170AB he could not find it in his books. He even checked under test pipes and found 1 for v10 and 360 but nothing for the diesel.

found the pipe

Ordered the pipe today. Price is $50. It will be in on friday. Let you know if it fits or not. It appeared like the correct pipe for my truck.

Gill,

did you have to ask for the part # for a 1994. I have tried the previos thread to get the part # but it does not work. could you please post the part number off your new pipe. Thanks

Did you use the above mentioned part number?? I'll be curious to see how it goes, I want to do the same. Problem is I don't know how that part would fit with the Banks exhaust... .

Keep us posted!

SORRY GUYS

I owe everybody an apology. I got tired of waiting on the dealer, he said Friday... that really meant the following friday. In all my spare time while waiting on the dealer, I bought a stem to stern 4" system from jardine racing in wyoming.....

A couple of things. I never would have been able to remove the CAT while it was still under the truck. About an hour of well placed sledge shots/penetrating oil and a cutting wheel on my angle grinder and I was able to get it disconnected from the truck. I'd be in the funny farm now if I had tried that while the exhaust system was still attached to the truck.

Second. The dealer has the part in... finally. It took Mr Jardine 3 days to get me a whole system. Took Dodge 2 weeks to find a part they said they didn't have a numberfor. BTW there's a pipe available at the Rapid City Dodge dealer. If you wanted to arrange for them to have it sent to your dealer they might help out. If anyone is interested let me know.

BTW I LOVE THE JARDINE PIPES.
