What is the part# of the 215's out of a 97 5-speed. I just got some and want to make sure they are right. Also how many gasket per injector?

I got my dad a 97 Auto. I think his is the 180hp version. Do I need to put a set of 215s in it and what would it do... ..... Thanx,

I'm wondering the same thing, I have a 97 auto, and put in the TST 230 HP kit when I first got it, in late 96. I had it dyno tested last month, and with the plate slid forward slightly, I was getting 278. 9 HP to the roller, and the torque went to 646. I have 135k on it now, & am wondering if that might be a lot of miles on the original injectors. At wide open throttle, I'm squeezing a lof of fuel through the old ones that are in there now. Would I notice any difference in power or fuel mileage with the 215 injectors? What's the next step up from 215's?

The Bosch P/N for the 215 hp injector is: 0 432 133 844

The Bosch P/N for the 370 Diamond B injector is: 0 432 131 715

From what I understand injectors are only good/efficient for around 100k miles. Some feel 150k is more accurate.

I just installed 215 injectors in my stock 96, 180hp automatic. The original injectors had about 95k miles on them. I really like the improvement I received from the 215's.

Much better throttle response, 2psi of boost, and all in all the truck just drives better. BTW - They do smoke more under heavy throttle, but smoke is unchanged at lower throttle.

Sorry I didn't write the part #'s down.

I have a set that I purchased from BD (Piers). The part # on the injector is #6818. I put in 370's and am very happy with them. If anyone wants the 215's, let me know.

I've got a 97 auto. Can anyone tell me what injectors the truck came with? If I don't have 215's would it make that much of a difference if I installed a set? I don't want to rip the transmission out or hurt the rest of the drive train. A little more power would be nice.

Your truck has 180 injectors. Read my post above about the 215's. They will give you ~20 horsepower so I don't think you will need to worry about damaging the transmission.

I have some used 215 injectors out of a 99. About 20,000 miles on them. They need a good home at a fair price,give me a call. 1 907 345 6161
