I need the part # for all the gaskets needed to replace a turbine housing for a 92 auto.

Piers said it would come with the gaskets needed. Looks as though someone goofed, no prob. Also need to know where is the best place to get them, the stealer??

Thanks

Zac

(This is one of my father's trucks with over 320K miles on it so I will prob. have to replace them all)

I have the part number but I'm on the road for about 2 more days. Hopefully someone will help before then but if not I'll look when I get home. I had the same problem when I changed the Turbo housing. It was supposed to come with the gasket but didn't. Luckly I had a new one so wasn't a big deal. Mine was a dealer item, don't know if you can get from Cummins or maybe NAPA auto parts. Give them a call.

Start soaking the bolts now so it will be easier to take apart. I would also spray around the housing, I never did get the old one off. I had another spool setup and just changed that instead.

here ya go

turbo mounting gsk #3901356 $2. 11

oil drain gsk# 3914388 $. 44

Housing O'ring seal #3037236 (intake side) $. 80

rect' seal ring# 3502449 ( exhaust side) $12. 26 you might want to take a good look at the turbo heat shield too. if you need to replace it,

turbo heat shield #3519302 $14. 53

these are all over the counter prices at Cummins Northwest in Portland Or.

Have great day!

stupid question, what is the heat shield? My turbo has been driving me nuts since I installed the 14cm housing with a puffing sound, I am about ready to change to a HX-35 and hopefully be done with it.

The heat shield goes between the bearing housing, and the turbo wheel. It is a thin round piece of aluminum, that helps cool the shaft and wheel by directing air flow towards it. Hope that helps. -Lane-
