guys... i am sure that most of you have seen the classifieds and seen that i have my 90 3/4ton 4x4 5spd for sale... well... i am seriously just thinking of parting her out and am just wondering what do you think i could get out of it as far as value... i am sure i could sell the motor,getrag,4. 10 rearend, transfer case, front axle,bed box... . what else?? what are the values of these items... i am kinda depressed but i guess that goes with the territory when u think that you may lose a child:{

the 98 and 01 are from about 6 months ago... i just never seem to stay with a truck for very long... i do wish i kept the 98 but it is long gone now

To bad I'm not in the market for another truck to replace the Ford. Interested in a first genner if I do sometime down the road. Yours looks very nice. The wheels look great on it. :)

MWD, I think you wont have any problems selling your truck at the price you are asking. We all just got done talking about how much we paid or will pay for these trucks. Looked really nice. If you did part it out you'd more than likely be sitting on it alot longer than if you sold it whole. I have an old 78 Dodge that people ask me if I'd be interested in selling any parts off it, if I did that then I'd just have a non-running in-complete truck sitting in the yard. Heck I bet you've already sold it. Good luck. Bill

no one wants to come all this way or so it seems... when i bought it i traveled 1100 miles one way to get it and it in no way shape or form resembles how it looked when i bought it... MUCH MUCH better

well, I need some clutch parts...

MWD - If you part her out I'd like to ask about the clutch hardware, etc. I'm eventually converting my 93 auto to a NV4500, so I need everything from your left foot to the backside of the bellhousing. ???

Come to think of it, will the 90 hardware work on a 93? Something I remember reading about regarding the throttle sensor or something. Is the clutch hydraulic or mechanical. I'd prefer hydraulic...

Gracias,

- Sam

Sam, when you ditch the slush box, the TPS will go with it. The only thing it controls is OD in and out. THe clutch set up on my 11/90 is a little different from what I remember on my later trucks, at least on the pushrod on the clutch master cylinder, and where the clutch safety thingie plugs in, (are they even in a 90?) but I'm sure if you're starting from scratch, you could do just fine. Clutch is hydraulic. Check the roll pin on the slave cylinder, securing the line to the cylinder. Had one crap out on me recently with 10 bales (round) of hay on a trailer in the hayfield. Darn near ran out the gate with the gate shut :eek:

running out of the gate when closed = bad!

Thanks for the info DP. I think I know the roll pin your talking about - same setup as on a NV3500 on a small block, the only one I'm used to yet.

I'm looking forward to doing the stick conversion, just gotta find the parts.

In risk of thread jacking, I spoke with Dan at Quad 4X4 'cause I am/was considering converting to NV4500. One big negative (or just a $ challenge) in performing the conversion is the output shaft difference between the auto and manual. Larger on manual. Since you are 2X (if I remember correctly), not such a problem, but for me I would need to either find a NP205 from a STd truck or get mine machined (larger seal and bearing), longer rear prop shaft, shorter front prop shaft. Crossover support is in correct spot. He also said that on the conversions he has done the cruise stops working after install. He said that they have not kept one long enough to figure it out (owners want them backOo. ) but he suspects a difference between ECM's (auto truck vs. manual). $ involved for 4X4 conversion, over $5K, without labor:(

FYI, I'll sit down now... :)
