Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) parts changed & broken

well heres a run down of parts changed orbroken (by mechanic):



changed:



head gasket & head gasket kit parts

front seal/ sleeve installed (had to :-{} on how that was installed)

valve cover & front cover gaskets (checked on kdp tab)

oil & oil filter changed/ coolant flushed & refilled

injector cap o-rings

(head worked by machine shop) injectors good

belt



broken:



water temp sensor $25

front seal $60

5 push rods bent :{ $40



... ... ... ... .....



about $700 spent, well there goes the intake/exhaust & gauges :{

Sounds to me like the guy forgot to unplug the Temp sensor..... Tech's fault... they should eat that..... and the 5 push rods..... sounds like the tech wasn't paying attention when he was torqueing things down and bent them (done it on my first headgasket job)

Yes ya gotta be careful reinserting the push rods, pretty easy to not get them seated in the lifters properly.
