Good Morning All!!

I am leaving tonight for Vegas, have a Dealer meeting out there so I won't be available for part numbers and such until March 12.

I know a lot of you depend on me for info in some cases and did not want you to think that I was AWOL or had lost interest.

Now I get to fly the "Unfriendly" skies.....

My greatest challenge today is to keep the wife from trying to pack over 50lbs. into the one checked bag I told her she could bring.

It amazes me just how much gear is required for a seven day trip for someone of the female persuasion, I can fit everything I need into one carry on. She has the checked bag, a carry on and a knapsack... ... :-laf

She has never been out there and I am looking forward to her impressions of Nevada and Arizona.

Plus I need a break!!!

Take care,

Mike. :)

Enjoy the TSA pat downs... . the girls pat the guys and the guys pat the girls ya know:-laf

Mike, have fun and enjoy yourself. Just take a lot of change for the slot machines, they are everywhere in NV. From the moment you get off the airplane until you get back on the airplane, they will not be far away from you. The only place I remember them not being anywhere was in the rental car and your hotel room.

I use to go to NV on business for Cat a lot of silver and gold mines out there.

Thanks Jim,

That's funny, I think I'll call Avis and ask if I can have a slot machine in the rental just so I can get warmed up... ... ... . :D

I dug into my little stash that the wife doesn't know I had and will convert that to quarters and tokens at the earliest opportunity...

Viva Las Vegas.....

I'll get patted down by the meanest, grumpiest man-hater there, I guarantee it. That is how my luck goes as a rule... ... . :D

Good idea, keep the losses small, those mechanical robbers take paper money and credit cards now... . you might not be the only one with a stash... :-laf

Hey Mike don't worry about converting it to coin the slot's only take Paper money now and when you win it print's out a ticket so you have to change it out at the cage no more ching ching when it hit's the pan

Hey, have a great trip! I worked out there for 3 years, I was able to stay because I DIDN'T play the slots.

If you have a car, try to get out of the city and see some of the area. The desert can be quite pretty this time of year, if the prairie flowers are blooming yet. I liked the ride over to Pahrump, which is on the way to Death Valley. Red Rocks is just northwest of the city. And farther north is Valley of Fire. Nice rides if you want to get away from spending money.

Enjoy.

PS: There is a "Brothel" museum at the junction of US95 and NV160, NW of Las Vegas!

Don't tell the wife.

Thank you for the advice, we are going to drive to Phoenix to see my mother for a day, then I will take the wife up to the Grand Canyon so she may see it at sunrise. . Then back to Vegas. I would love to see the desert in bloom, have been told it is quite a sight. I will add a side trip to Pahrump for sure.

I will sign the wife up for a Chippendale show, then jump in the rental and head for the museum. Will tell her I need to absorb some "culture"... ...

Mike. :)

Sounds like you have it all planned out. Have fun.

When in Pahrump, stop by Saitta-Trudeau Dodge(sp?). When I was there last May Madness they had some great looking trucks! Maybe you can go again in May.

I take my RV when travelling, that way I don't have to worry about carry-ons!! I probably take as much on a trip as your wife does.

I hope FL doesn't do you like Navistar used to do me. Navistar would send out a IRS Form 1099 for the full list price of the trip at the end of the year. I had to pay income tax on the price of the trip. #@$%! It didn't ake me long to decide NOT to take the so called free trips as rewards for meeting/exceeding sales goals. For the last five or so years I worked, I didn't go on any Navistar sponsored reward trips.

I'm back, just sent you an e-mail. :)

Yesterday I spent the day fighting the 3 hour time zone thing plus the Daylight Savings Time 1 hour loss that happened Sunday.

Feel a little more with it today.

Mike. :)

Mike, I guess you and or your wife did not win it really really big in Vegas since you came back to work.

Hope you have fun and enjoyed yourself.

Jim W.

No, we failed at the winning thing... .

I took 20. 00 and got a 2 hour run out of it at the Venetian before I lost it. Was up to $100. 00 at one point.

Much more fun just watching how something that big operates.

Biggest convention center/hotel complex in the world and it runs like a Swiss Watch.

We are both into infrastructure and enjoyed it from that perspective, it was a great experience.

Mike.

Only way I have heard of to get out of Las Vegas with a small fortune is to go there with a large fortune. :). Glad you're back Mike, we missed you. bg
