You also need a longer bolt (depending on tab thickness), loc-tite, a seal and gasket
For info on the tab fix contact Joe G at -- email address removed -- for excellent instructions.

For those who do not have the facilities to fashion their own tab, TDR Member R. ebel has made up a few tabs that can be purchased. Just PM him for details.
u can buy a tabs from Piers or i can send u one. The part #'s on the seal and gasket is 3918673 and 3804899. I can't remembeer which one is which. U don't need a longer bolt, but lock tight is recommended on a dowel pin that is out and on the bolt.
i was the same way till u see how weak a fender washer is to the chrome moly. I'm sure u'll be fine with the fender washer, ... but u're only gonna do it once, ... make sure u do it right
When I did mine I bought the seal and never used it as the original went on and off so easy with the guide included in the new seal I saved the seal for when needed. I did replace the gasket and found that the dealer had it off before me and just used silicone to seal it.
Just don't use any hardened steel like sawzall blades and such. They can break off and your back to the same problem or worse. I used simple 1/8 inch band iron with a longer bolt.
