Passenger side airbags?

Did any of the Gen 2 trucks come with passenger side airbags? I seem to recall that they were an option you could get if you ordered a truck from the factory, and they fit into the dashboard cubby above the glove box.

Has anyone ever seen one? Or have one?

My 2002 truck has a factory passenger side airbag. The truck is a base model.

Do you mean "passenger side - airbag" or "passenger - side airbag"?

That is a good question. In my case the passenger side airbag is a frontal airbag in the dash.

If I'm not mistaken, they were standard equipment after the interior change was made in '98. My '98 had one above the glove box and a key switch to turn it off in the dash.

Ha! That's a fair question for clarification. I mean the airbag on the passenger side that's stuffed into the dashboard. Most trucks have a rectangular cubby hole in that spot.

Further, I was not specific about the years I am interested in. (Silly me. I was tired and distracted by a kitten.) I'm looking specifically at the 1994 thru 1997 models.

Never seen a ‘94-‘97 with an airbag in the dash.
