Anyone ever had the passenger side dash apart? I need to get in there and take a look around the AC duct work. What are the odds of me messing up the air bag.

Can you give me some pointers are some palces I really need to look at?

'06 manual stresses disconnecting both batteries and allowing time for capacitance discharge before attempting any repair. This is to prevent airbag activation. Makes sense, having one inflate in your face could spoil your afternoon. I suggest locating a copy of the manual sections showing teardown procedures. I think the 2 sections you would want deal with defroster ducts and panel removal. It's more complex than I'd want to try to include and the '06 may be different from the '05.

The passenger air bag comes out very easy. As noted, disconnect the battery and have a soda. Remove the glove box by opening and squeezing the sides in to clear the dash. Roll it all the way down and off the hinge. Then use one of the christmas tree fastener removers to carefully remove the yellow air bag connector from the bracket, slide the red lock over, then unplug the connector. Remove the two bolts holding the air bag module and then using a plastic or wooden trim stick, gently pry the front and rear edge of the cover forward or backward while lifting slightly. There are also two tabs that you can reach from the glove box hole on each side of the cover. Push those in and up and push the bag assembly up and out of the dash. Reverse to install, but pay attention to a little metal clip on the bracket that must engage the air bag bracket. If you miss the clip, the bolts will not line up. While the bag is out, look at the bracket and you will see the tab.
