Passenger side mirror

I have the trailer towing mirrors on my 04, 3500 & am wondering if anyone knows of a replacement for the passenger side mirror glass or if a drivers side glass can be substituted? I don't need or want the magnification the OEM glass provides.

I had my mirror removed by a local shop, they cut a new mirror and glued it on. $35 i think. Sure glad to get rid of that shaving mirror DC sold it with. I am going to try that site jnelson had. I would love to get rid of those damn little wide views they have on the corners. When trying to back up a trailor they sure interfere with the view.

Are you on drugs??? Those little mirrors are the best part of a Dodge truck(next to the Cummins of course). Chevy mirrors SUCK and Furds ain't much better. Them stupid little slivers on Furds are the worst. For towing there is no better option than what Dodge puts on. Period. You can see everything. You guys DO KNOW that the mirror flips up/out don't you??? I know a guy that had his truck for about a year before I showed him that they flip up. Anyways, just gotta give ya a little crap...

Opinion: The little bubble mirrors are great. The view provided by the passenger side main mirror is so distorted as to be useless. I have to use the little bubble mirror even for backup. Never thought to replace the main mirror but after these posts I'll look into it. Jeff

No, JD I only use good home brew.

I don't tow travel trailors, only a boat and flat bed/cattle trailor. I don't have any need for a wider view. Have tried the mirrors folded out but don't have any need for it.

When I back a trailor into a tight spot (trees, buildings, fence posts, and gates) I find the loss of vision due to missing a portion of the mirror to the wide angles very frustrating. Had an 85 Ford without bubbles and it was much easier. I seem to have some trouble with depth perseption and anything that distortes my vision is a real pain.

I haven't had any problem with the fold out passenger side mirror on my new truck. With other trucks I have gone to a local glass shop and it replaced. I worked at a glass shop and replaced many mirrors. Here it cost $15. 00 to get it done. Have a great day.

JHardwick: Real cowboys never even had trailers. Had to herd them hundreds of miles to market. All I have to do is keep them corralled up on the trailer on the way to market only 22 miles. Much easier !! Ha Ha.

If you had read you would have read "flat bed/cattle trailer". I have a cattle cage that rolles on & off the flat bed. Can use the trailer either way I want.
