Pay back for Radiator?

Hey guys,

I am wondering has anyone had any success getting reimbursed for a replacement radiator. I have an 03 with the radiator fan shroud issues which was not caught in time and put a hole in my radiator. I had it replaced and called customer service being that the truck was out of warranty. They advise the have never heard of this and would not reimbursed even though it is a design flaw and they changed the design in the middle of the year of the 03. I have contacted the States Attonrney.

Let's see: "we have never heard there is any problem at all, so we decided to redesign the location of the fan clutch cabling and connector just because our engineers didn't have much to do one week and they thought 'what the heck, let's change something for no reason at all'".



Good move calling the state attorney. I can't believe they actually said that to you over the phone.



The more I learn about car companies the less I like them. Not the people who work for them, but the conglomerated entity formed from the collective actions of all those people. The vehicle as you drive it off the lot is meerly a "suggestion" of one possible way of doing things. It's best to redesign it and rebuild it as soon as you get home.

Yeah I could not believe what they told me after seeing the people stating they have gotten this taken care of through DC . So after 4 calls and 3 emails I was done, figured I would contact someone who would get further. I would just like to know how many other members have had this issue and had it resolved.

I am going to try and get one replaced as well. 70000 miles build date 3-03.
