One of our TDR members Tom Golden saw my post wanting to swap a 60# Isspro guage for a 30#. He emailed me to say that he had an almost new 30# guage that was excess to him and if I wanted it, he would mail it to me. It arrived today. He packaged it well and paid $4. 35 postage. This is a wonderful bunch of folks and Tom, I thank you! Now therefore, I am honor bound to "Pay it Forward". I must give the 60# guage that I no longer need to someone who needs it. The first one to email me with an address gets the guage. There is a catch, you must need it and if you have an extra guage then you must "Pay it Forward"... . Barry

You've got that right!!! I have given away several excess items from my Dodges here only asking that the receiver pay postage, not a one has failed to reimburse me.

I've been both the giver and the receiver of such gifts. There was a guy (don't even remember his name) that needed one of the clips that holds the ball joint adjuster to the headlight assembly and they aren't available unless you buy the whole assembly. I hit a deer year before last during hunting season and wiped out a headlight - so I had the clips, sent one out right away once I knew he needed one. On the receiving side I broke a tailgate support cable and Willyslover (THANKS again Gary) sent me one of the ones off of his wrecked truck. What a GREAT family we have here!

BTW, moral of the story is if you break a part and have to replace it save the broken one - there may be a $0. 10 clip on it that would cost someone $200 to replace!!

It is good to know there is still some honesty left in the world.

Well, I was the lucky receipent of Barry's generosity on this. Barry sent the new gauge to me without any charge at all. This speaks well of the type of people on this site that we all need to be thankful for. The gauge will soon have a home in my 1992 D250.

Barry and I discussed how nice it would be for this act to turn into a continuing thing among members of the TDR. As for my small contribution I have a new in the box Isspro 15# boost gauge. It still has a $45. 95 price sticker on it. At only 15# it is not suitable for a lot of applications, but could be used on some.

I will send this gauge prepaid to the first member who Emails me with their address. I only ask that you have a good need for this gauge and that you make a good effort to "Pay it Forward". If you do not have a gauge to offer just try to come up with something that can be useful to another member.

Thanks again Barry!!! People like you make this old life a lot better!

Bill

I don't know if your want to share parts with chevy owners, but that gauge would be perfect on a duramax!

This post reminds me of the two hole saws that were floating around. Just curious if anyone knows where they ended up. Are they still out there floating around in the cosmos... ... ?
Don't need one, just wondering. The two of them must have drilled a record number of holes by now, or are worn out and mounted on someone's trophy wall!
