WOW Chris that is an incredible amount of damage. You have certainly found the limits where things go real bad. Can the motor be sleeved? or is it new block time? Great pics, makes me a lot happier with my HP level and I think it will stay there for a while.

WOW!

Were the valve retaining clips in place? Any ideas what specifically failed to do all this? Very impressive at any rate.

OUCH!!!!!:--) :--) You guys must have big pockets... . I checked out the rest of the site..... when do you guys NOT brake stuff!?!

Keep up the good work!:D

Wow Chris, sorry to hear of all the damage. I guess its basically scrap steel at this point. Do you have another motor yet?

wow, something wasn't right. obviously it wasn't happening from a melt down as your going down the road... it just disinigrated.

is that valve bent from heat or the piston breaking apart.

good luck!

Tom

Chris, sorry to hear about his but we all know we push it hard. Seriously though, Piers has several blocks and cranks just laying around, he told me in Muncie he had bought 10 full motors just for the heads and cams, Dang you make me want to pull my head now!

Chris ,

Thanks for being honest about the melt-down. Good lessons to be learned.

A lot of guys would have never admitted this happened.

Quick now lets build another.
