hey everyone, anyone got an idea where to get a pcm for a '92 w/ an auto, my pcm and part of the wiring harness fried today, my charging system has been on the fritz latley, my new voltage regulator, and my new alternator fried boiling over my battery and melting my pcm and my wiring harness (the connector and some of the wires) so i guess i also need a wiring harness, any ideas on where to locate one, no local junkyards have one the i could find.

Tim,

I purchased mine online about 2 years ago. It was about $220 plus shipping. I can't remember where I ordered it from as I've done tons of online parts orders. Try searching some of the dealers. I was misinformed by a local electrical repair shop that they were no longer available and a rebuild would cost around $400 and up. I did an online search and it may have came from New York or somewhere up along the East Coast. Sorry I can't remember.

Aloha,

Matt

AS far as I understand it, it wont necessarily have to be from an auto. I think the PCMs were all the same for the 1stGen intercooled trucks.

pcm

I bought a transmission for my Conversion and this came with it. No numbers and no harness the truck was a 92. Is this what you looking for thanks Ryan

Ryan, if Tim doesn't want it I could use one for my 91. 5. The original PCMs for auto and manual wer different part numbers. FSM shows the pins for OD, trans temp and TPS as auto only on the connector. Maybe the manual has those functions, but FSM doesn't indicate that.
