I'm getting ready to install my turbo and 14cm w/g housing and have a question. The exhaust housing came with a bracket to mount the actuator. I'm assuming this bracket is not needed as the actuator mounts to the compressor housing on my 02. Correct? If this is the case the accuator rod it too short (with the end link screwed all the way out) to fit over the crank arm pin. The only way I see to make it long enough is to put air pressure in the actuator assembly through the spigot to get the rod to extend to reach said crank arm pin. Then when the air is released the actuator holds the wastegate closed until boost pressure builds? TIA, Phil

My guess is that will work for you but you can relocate the actuator to the turbine housing bracket if that makes it a better fit.

TTT. I stopped by Phils & like he said the actuator rod appears to be short. It will reach however but that would max out the throw of the rod & when you needed the actuator to move to open the wastegate it would be out of rod (maxed out) to travel opening the wastegate. Hmmm. Anyone? For the eye on the adjustable rod to reach the attachment point on the wastegate, the rod would be threaded approx. 1\4" ONLY & the actuator travel would be maxed out in the closed position... . PS, Happy Birthday Bro! :D
