Attention: TDR Forum Junkies I installed a PDR cam in my truck last thursday. Install took all day. I am amazed at how much quieter my truck is with the new cam. My truck had a lot of engine noise compared to most 05s that I've heard. It is now the quietest diesel pickup I've ever heard. the engine has a different tone and the exhaust sounds a little better. Also I have no idea how or why but my DD clutch idle clatter is all but gone. The fluidamper didn't help near as much as the cam. Like I said who knows how or why it helped but it did and if I had no other benifits from the cam this alone was worth doing the swap.
The Egts run about 100* cooler when cruising. I was at 800 at 65-70 now I'm down around 650* at that speed. The truck seems to have more torque now than before or at least it comes on quiker. The turbo also start spooling at a lower rpm and spools faster. The truck doesnt smoke as much either. It's almost like having the next size up turbo without sacrificing spool-up. Haven't had it long enough to check mileage.
Overall I am very happy with this mod and highly recomend it.
