Today history was made on our dyno. Piers brought his 04. 5 down for a dyno run. Until today the biggest hp was 550 on our Dynojet for a 3rd gen.

04. 5 Common Rail

3rd gen Dynomite Diesel Performance Injectors

TST

PPE

HX35/BHT3B

Air Dog Pump

PDR Cam

5 inch Straight Pipe

There were customers here to vouch 685HP, 1200ft/lbs!

The Extrude Hone process has proven it is the best for street driven, high horsepower diesel applications. As EDM has become popular for injector nozzle manufacturing, emissions and horsepower requirements will necessitate the extrude hone process.

That truck ran very very smooth for the HP's that it laid down. I have heard many of trucks on that dyno that have laid down far less while being way louder and way more violent idleing! Every truck that I have seen get the treatment ( extrude honed) seems to Idle like a dream and just rev better , because the precision is exact! My injectors? any size? exactly ballanced and extremely precise? same day service? Um I guess the writing is on the wall. Salex

Yes they have a website but it is minimal for now. More to come soon. And this was just dyno today to "hushen some nay sayers" . But I am sure that Mpg's and many other injector/turbo/programer variations will be soon to come. But the with these results, the demand for this quality will get much larger. Salex

Nice numbers! We know Piers makes hp, but it's always fun to see good hp being made. I guess the bar is already raising for the spring/summer season. Thanks

I am curious to know how the CP3 was able to keep up?

I am thinking those 04. 5 Cp3 are better than the 03-04... hmm.....

so whats DDP's website?

I believe uncorrected! Dyno-Mite Diesel is about as an ideal location to dyno at. When I got my cam installed there last June they insist on dynoing everything as uncorrected so no smoke-and-mirrors:

Thats some crazy reading, it seems the TST/DL'er combo with cam/twins on the 04. 5+ truck always makes sick HP

Sadly I have the 03..... SMarty, where are you?!?!?!!?

So what exactly is different about your extrude hone process vs anyone elses? I see everyone starting to jump up and down already but I haven't seen any talk about why your process is better/different.

I read that the extruded/honed process was not as good as the EDM (using wire). It's my understanding that the extruded/honed uses a thick substance that is very gritty pushed through the injectors to produce the larger holes and that this process creates wear on the injector that is equivilent to 100k miles. Any truth to this?

Good! I am glad to here it was uncorrected. It rubs me a little when people lay down a number like that then you find out it has a huge correction factor.

I would give this guy a call for those sort of technical answers, I can only tell you what we all saw, and even the people that were that had major doubts about the runs weere like :--) :--) .
